Delete your NameWheel account
You can delete your NameWheel account whenever you like, from the app, from the website, or by email. You do not need the app installed to do it.
How to delete it
- In the app (iPhone, iPad or Android)Sign in, open Account, then choose Delete account and confirm.
- On the websiteSign in at namewheel.org/signin, open your dashboard, go to Settings and press Delete account. Type your email address to confirm.
- By emailWrite to [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We delete it and reply to confirm. We only act on requests sent from the account's own address, so nobody can delete your account by asking for it.
What deleting removes
These go straight away, as soon as you confirm:
| Your sign in and profile | Your email address, name, how you signed in, and the signup details on your profile. You can no longer sign in to the account. |

| Saved wheels | Every wheel saved to your account, including any you shared by link. |
| Winner history | The winners saved from your spins while you were signed in. |
| Reviews and live sessions | Reviews you posted and any live join sessions you hosted. |
| API keys and app purchases | Your API keys (so any assistant you connected loses access) and the app's record that you bought the Full version. |
| Sign in with Apple | If you signed in with Apple, we tell Apple to disconnect NameWheel from your Apple Account. |
| Certified draw pages | The public pages and videos of your certified draws are taken offline. On the website you can choose to leave them public instead. |
Wheels you made in the app without signing in were never on our servers. They stay on your phone until you delete the app.
What we keep, and why
| Certified draw records | The record of each certified draw (its title, entries, winner, date and proof) stays in our database with no end date, because a certified draw is a permanent record that people in the draw may need to check later. Its public page is offline. To have a draw removed sooner, email [email protected]. |

| Payment and purchase records | Kept without your account attached, for as long as accounting and tax law requires, because we need them for our accounts and taxes. |
| Usage counts | Spin counts, AI Fill use records and the steps toward buying PRO are kept without your account attached, so they no longer say anything about you. |
| Server logs | Our web server keeps its logs, which include IP addresses, for 14 days, then deletes them. |
Subscriptions are separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought in an app, because only the store can cancel it:
- Google Play (Android)Open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, and cancel NameWheel. Or open your Google Play subscriptions.
- App Store (iPhone and iPad)Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel NameWheel.
- On the websiteA PRO subscription paid by card through Stripe, or through PayPal, is cancelled for you when you delete the account. One paid through Freemius has to be cancelled at Freemius first; the dashboard tells you if that applies to you.
Cancel the store subscription before or after deleting, but do cancel it: if you only delete the account, Google or Apple will keep charging you.
