Wheel of Names shows banner ads that end up inside your stream capture. NameWheel never will. Here is the complete setup for OBS, Streamlabs, and any software with a browser source, plus the tricks streamers actually use on air.

OBS setup in two minutes

  1. Add a Browser source. In OBS, click the plus under Sources, choose Browser, and name it something like Giveaway Wheel.
  2. Paste your wheel URL. Use https://namewheel.org/ for a blank wheel, or prefill it with your entries: https://namewheel.org/#names=Viewer1,Viewer2,Viewer3 loads those names the moment the source appears.
  3. Size it. Width 1000, height 900 frames the wheel and the spin button cleanly. Scale the source down in your scene; the wheel renders sharp at any size.
  4. Spin without touching the mouse. Click inside the source once, then press Space or Ctrl+Enter. Both trigger a spin, so you can keep your game in focus and use OBS's Interact window when it is time to draw.
  5. Let it breathe. The wheel idles with a slow rotation between spins, so the source looks alive on screen even while you talk.

Prefill the wheel from your chat

Export your entrants from your chatbot or a Google Form, then either paste them into the wheel, or build the URL once: every name separated by commas after #names=. Saved wheels work too; a wheel saved to your free account opens on your streaming PC at namewheel.org/?w=YOURID with everything intact.

Run entries through a Google Form, open Settings on the wheel, paste the response sheet's link into Google Sheets Sync, and switch on Live Sync. New entries appear on the wheel within a minute, all stream long, without you touching anything.

On-air etiquette that saves you grief

Spin once and commit: the wheel's fairness page exists precisely so you can show doubters the math. Turn on Hide Winner Until Popup in Settings for a suspense beat before the reveal, and use Eliminate mode for last-one-standing giveaways, which make far better content than a single instant draw. If a viewer accuses the wheel of favoritism, send them to the fairness test and let them run ten thousand spins themselves.
