Open NameWheel FreeWhy Streamers Switch to NameWheel from Every Other Tool
Most streamers find out about spinning wheel tools when they need to run a giveaway. They Google "spin the wheel online," find the most popular one, open it on stream, and then a banner ad loads right there on their screen for all 500 viewers to see.
That's it. That's the whole story. That's why they end up here.
NameWheel has no ads. Not "no ads if you pay." Just no ads. The entire site. Every page. Every spin. Nothing to explain to your chat, nothing to awkwardly minimize mid-spin, nothing to accidentally show your viewers.
But the no-ads thing is just the beginning. The dark UI looks genuinely great on stream. The confetti and animated winner reveal creates a proper moment. The fullscreen mode fills a monitor. Weighted entries let you give Tier 3 subs 5x the chance of regulars without the wheel looking rigged. And Eliminate Mode means no one gets picked twice before everyone's had a chance.
How to Run a Giveaway on Stream — Step by Step
Collect your entrant names. Copy them from your giveaway bot, chat log, Discord list, or wherever you're pulling entries. One name per line is all you need.
Open NameWheel and paste the names. Takes about 10 seconds for a list of 200 names.
For sub-tier weighting — turn on Weighted Mode. Add :5 after Tier 3 subs, :3 after Tier 2, leave Tier 1 at default. Now the odds reflect subscription tier without the wheel visually looking unequal.
Switch to fullscreen mode. Hit the fullscreen button or press F. The wheel fills the screen. Put it on your stream scene as a browser capture or share your screen.
Spin live. Hit the button or press spacebar. Chat watches it spin. It slows down. If you have Hide Winner mode on, the name blurs first then dramatically reveals. Clip moment.
Announce the winner. Screenshot the result, post it in chat, tag them. Done.
Setting Up NameWheel as an OBS Browser Source
You can add NameWheel directly into OBS as a browser source so it appears as part of your scene without needing to share your screen.
OBS Browser Source Setup
In OBS, click the + button in Sources and select "Browser"
Name it "NameWheel" and click OK
Set the URL to:
Set width and height to match your desired overlay size. 800x800 works well for a corner placement. 1920x1080 for fullscreen.
The dark background blends naturally with most stream layouts. For a transparent overlay effect, add a Chroma Key filter set to black (#000000) with a similarity around 80.
Window Capture Alternative
If you prefer more control, open NameWheel in its own browser window, size it how you want, and add it to OBS as a Window Capture. This lets you interact with the wheel (add names, spin) while it's live in your scene without the browser source interaction limitations.
Features That Actually Matter for Live Streaming
Zero Ads on Screen
Nothing to block, nothing to minimize, nothing your chat will screenshot and mock you for. The wheel is the whole screen.
Cinematic Winner Reveal
Winner name blurs out, suspense builds, then it un-blurs dramatically. Chat goes wild. Perfect clip material every single time.
Weighted Entries Free
Give Tier 3 subs 5x the entries, gifted sub recipients double entries. The wheel looks equal visually. The odds are right internally.
Dark UI Always
Looks natural in dark stream overlays. No white flash, no blinding light mode. Just a clean dark wheel that fits any aesthetic.
Fullscreen Mode
One click fills the entire monitor. Great for a spin cam scene switch or when you want the wheel as the focal point of a giveaway segment.
Confetti Animation
Winner reveal triggers animated confetti. Looks good on camera, looks good in clips, gives the moment proper weight.
Eliminate Mode
Picked winners get removed. No viewer gets picked twice before everyone's had a chance. Essential for fair community giveaways.
CSV Import
Got 500 entrant names in a spreadsheet? Import the CSV. All names load instantly. No copy-pasting one by one.

How to Set Up Weighted Giveaway Entries for Sub Tiers
Community giveaways work best when the rewards match the support level. Tier 3 subs paying more should naturally have better odds than someone who subbed for the first time today. But making that obvious looks bad — you don't want the wheel to visually show 5 slots for one person and 1 for another.
NameWheel handles this invisibly. Here's exactly how to set it up:
Step 1: Enable Weighted Mode
Open Settings in NameWheel and toggle on Weighted Mode. Nothing on the wheel changes visually — all segments stay equal size.
Step 2: Add names with weights
Format: Name:Weight
For example:
The numbers after the colon are relative weights. TopSupporter is 5x more likely to win than CoolViewer. The wheel looks completely equal to your chat.
Step 3: Spin as normal
Hit spin. The weighted probability works silently in the background. Nobody can see the weights from the wheel. You can read them out if you want to be transparent, or keep it simple and just explain that higher tier subs have more entries.
